Our Products
Poultry & Eggs
We offer pasture-raised chicken as well as farm-fresh eggs. Chickens are pasture-raised outdoors in "chicken tractors". This protects them from predators and allows them to have access to fresh grass, bugs, sunlight, and fresh air daily. Our laying hens also get to roam the yard during the day, doing what chickens love to do. Eggs are hand-gathered several times a day. No hormones or antibiotics ever.
Beef
Our beef is dam-raised for about 6 months, then pasture-raised and grain-finished. Animals are born and raised here at the farm. We use a rotational grazing system. Raised with love and respect for all that they provide for our farm families. They get spoiled during their time here: fresh pastures, scratches, and love.
Pork
Pigs are raised outdoors in pens where they can breathe fresh air and soak up the sun. They enjoy corn and grain that is not medicated - no antibiotics or growth hormones ever! They also enjoy scraps and extra produce from the gardens.
Milk
Fresh raw milk from our Jersey girls. Cows are machine-milked; milk is then filtered, bottled, and quickly chilled. Not heated or treated in any other way. You’ll be pleased to find a nice cream line in our milk. Fresh milk from healthy, happy, spoiled cows. Happy cows really do make the best milk.
Seasonal Produce
Each year, the gardens are full of heirloom fruits & vegetables, including asparagus, mixed greens, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, tomatoes, peppers, asparagus, rhubarb, raspberries, corn, squash, and beans. At Pleasant Ridge Farms LLC, items are grown naturally, with as few pesticides as possible.
Seasonal Flowers & Plants
We also offer designer Hosta, Iris, and Day Lilies. Locally grown from our garden for yours. We seasonally dig bare-root plants. There truly is something magical about gardening. It is good to get your hands in the dirt; it calms your senses and soothes your soul. The gardens are ever-changing, like life. The flowers fade and re-grow, changing the landscape from year to year.
